Affordable Press Release Distribution
The most affordable press release distribution is a one-time package that includes the writing. Ours starts at $195 for 50 news sites and never renews — here's how that price holds up against cheap alternatives.
Why our prices stay low
We keep prices low by selling one thing well: a written release, published on a network of news sites, with proof of every placement. There is no sales call, no account manager and no contract, so the price you see covers the work.
- One-time payment from $195. No monthly fee, no annual plan, no auto-renewal.
- The writing is included. Most cheap services charge for writing separately or expect you to supply finished copy.
- No word-count fees. Some wires bill more once you pass 400 words. Our price doesn't move when your release is long.
- No per-image or per-link charges. Your release is published as written, with the links in it.
- Add-ons are optional. Yahoo Finance and MSN placements are extra only if you choose them.
- Free help before you buy. Our how-to-write guide and template cost nothing.
What to watch for with cheap press release distribution
- "Free" posting sites. You get an archive page nobody reads, no editorial review, and often no followable link. It rarely shows up when customers search your news.
- Per-word pricing. A $99 rate that climbs to $300 once your release passes 400 words isn't cheap distribution, it's a metered one.
- Subscriptions dressed up as a single price. Read the renewal terms before you enter a card. A $40 monthly plan costs $480 in a year for the same one announcement.
- "Unlimited distribution" claims. Usually the same text syndicated to an interchangeable list of low-traffic sites, with no report and no live URLs.
- No live-link report. If a service won't show you where your release actually appeared, you cannot verify that you received what you paid for.
- Writing quoted separately. Freelance writing commonly runs $100–$500 on its own, which can double the total of a "budget" package.
None of that means you need the most expensive option. It means compare the whole price — writing, publishing, report and renewal terms — instead of the headline number.

Sometimes the cheapest option is the right one
If you only need a permanent, indexed page for a small announcement — a hire, a rebrand, a community event — the $195 Starter package is genuinely enough, and it's cheaper than a freelance writer alone. Move up only when you want more sites or a client-ready report. Growth adds AI citation recommendations; Authority adds a priority editor; Ultimate adds priority publishing and a white-label report. Reach by tier is broken down on the outlet categories page.
Our editors write your press release, publish it across our network of news sites, and send you a report with every live link. One-time price, live within 5 business days.

What's the cheapest press release distribution you offer?
Starter, at $195 one-time. It includes writing by our editors, unlimited revisions before publishing, publishing on 50 news sites, Google News inclusion, an "As seen on" badge and a live-link report. There is no cheaper tier and no hidden minimum.
Is cheap press release distribution worth it?
It can be, if the price includes writing and you receive live links you can verify. It isn't worth it when the "distribution" is a single archive page, when links aren't followable, or when the low rate only applies under a word limit.
Do you charge extra for longer releases?
No. Word count doesn't change our price. Our editors will trim a bloated release because it reads better, not because it costs us less.
Are there cheaper alternatives for local news only?
For purely local announcements, a smaller package plus local media outreach can work well. Our AP style dateline guide covers the local formatting journalists expect.
How do I pay, and does it renew?
Once, at checkout on the order page. Nothing renews automatically, and there is no subscription. Questions? Email hello@brandinthenews.com.
