Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of brandinthenews.com and any press release writing or distribution service you order from us. By placing an order you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

BrandInTheNews is operated by [Legal Company Name], [Business Address]. You can reach us at hello@brandinthenews.com. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean [Legal Company Name], and "you" means the person or business placing the order.

2. Our services

We provide a done-for-you press release service. Depending on the package you choose, that includes writing by our editors, editing of a draft you supply, publishing across our network of news sites, Google News inclusion, an "As seen on" badge for your website, and a live-link report. Growth and above also include AI citation recommendations. Optional add-ons, such as Yahoo Finance or MSN placement, are sold at the price shown at checkout.

We are not a law firm or a public relations agency, and nothing we provide is legal or financial advice.

3. Orders and payment

Every package is a one-time payment for one press release, at the price shown on our pricing page and at checkout. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges and no renewals. Payment is taken by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card details.

Your order starts once payment is confirmed and we have the information we need to write your release. If we cannot reach you for 14 days after you order, we may treat the order as abandoned.

4. Editorial review and our right to decline

Our editors review every order before writing. We may decline, or ask you to change, content that:

• is illegal, or promotes illegal activity;
• is misleading or false, or makes claims you cannot support;
• is adult, hateful, harassing or defamatory;
• promotes gambling, weapons, or unlicensed financial or medical products;
• infringes someone else's intellectual property; or
• we believe would harm the credibility of our network or its readers.

If we decline your release and we cannot agree on a revised version, we refund your payment in full. We may also decline an order before writing begins for any lawful reason.

5. Revisions and approval

You receive the draft for review, and revisions are unlimited before publishing — ask for as many changes as you need. We publish only after you approve the final draft, so please read it closely: you are responsible for the accuracy of the names, dates, figures, quotes and claims you approve.

6. Timeline

We publish within 5 business days of your approval of the final draft. That assumes we have everything we need from you and that the news sites in our network are operating normally. Delays outside our control — a partner outage, a security incident or a public holiday period — can extend the timeline. If a delay becomes significant we will tell you and, where appropriate, offer a refund.

7. No guarantee of rankings, traffic or mentions

We do not and cannot guarantee search rankings, traffic, sales, media pickups, or mentions in AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Google's AI Overviews. What we provide is writing and placement, plus a report showing where your release was published.

8. Third-party sites

Your release is published on news sites we do not own or control. Those sites may reformat a page, move it, add advertising, or remove it later. We cannot prevent that, and it is not a breach of these Terms. If a page is removed we will tell you what we know, and where a placement we sold directly cannot be delivered we will refund the relevant amount.

9. Refunds

You receive a full refund if we cannot publish your press release, or if we decline it under section 4. Once your release has been published, the service has been delivered and payments are non-refundable. 10. Your responsibilities and content ownership

You confirm that the information you give us is accurate, that you have the right to use any logo, image, quote or trademark you send us, and that publishing your release will not break any law or agreement. You keep ownership of your content, and you grant us a licence to edit, publish and store your release and to keep a published copy for our records and portfolio. Our own site content, guides and templates remain ours.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost revenue or lost opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State], United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of [State]. [Governing-law and venue wording to be confirmed by counsel before launch.]
