GlobeNewswire Pricing
GlobeNewswire, part of Notified, publishes no price list. Distribution is quoted per release, so the only firm number is the one a sales team gives you — third-party estimates put a 600-word national release with an image around $900–$1,200. Here's how the model works and how we compare.
Why GlobeNewswire has no public rate card
GlobeNewswire is sold the way enterprise infrastructure is sold: you create an account, describe the distribution you need, and receive a custom quote. Reporter Outreach's September 2026 review checked globenewswire.com and parent-company Notified's own site and found no dollar figures anywhere — including on Notified's pages titled "GlobeNewswire vs. PR Newswire: Pricing", which carry the headline but no numbers.
What the quote is built from is public enough:
- Circuits. Geographic (state, national, international), industry and media circuits.
- Word count and assets. Release length, images, video and multimedia attachments.
- Compliance features. Disclosure-oriented distribution used by public companies.
- Reporting and analytics. Included in the workflow, with tiers vary by account.
Practically, that means the same release can carry different prices for different buyers, and the price you're quoted is the price that exists.
Third-party estimates
Because no rate card exists, published figures are estimates. The most specific are Reporter Outreach's:
| Release | GlobeNewswire | Other majors, for scale |
|---|---|---|
| 600-word national release with one image | $900–$1,200 (estimate band) | Business Wire ≈$1,575 (documented rate-card math); PR Newswire ≈$2,160 plus membership (rate-card math) |
| Published rates | None — quote only | Business Wire lists some circuit prices; PR Newswire publishes none |
| Pricing model | Custom quote per release | Per release, with word and asset meters |
Figures via Reporter Outreach, September 2026. Their own caveat applies: the GlobeNewswire column is an estimate, and quotes vary by buyer. Ask for a written quote before you budget. The Notified comparison page argues GlobeNewswire is better value but lists no prices to compare.
At the entry level, third-party estimates for a basic release range from roughly $195 to $800 depending on the source, while the premium band — national circuits, compliance, multimedia — sits in the hundreds-to-low-thousands per release.

When GlobeNewswire is the better choice
- Public-company disclosure. Announcements that must go out through a compliant wire, where the distribution record is the point.
- Investor relations. Reaching analysts, terminals and financial media that follow wire feeds.
- Global and multilingual distribution. When the story has to appear in multiple countries and languages at once.
- Multimedia and regulated industries that need a single vendor handling assets, compliance and analytics.
For customer-facing news — a launch, an opening, an award, a partnership — the wire's compliance machinery and global circuits don't add much, and quote-based pricing makes budgeting harder. That's the gap our flat-price packages fill. If you do need a major wire, compare our PR Newswire pricing breakdown before choosing, then start an order if a fixed price suits better.
Our editors write your press release, publish it across our network of news sites, and send you a report with every live link. One-time price, live within 5 business days.

How much does GlobeNewswire cost?
It isn't published. Third-party estimates put a 600-word national release with an image around $900–$1,200, but every tier is quote-only, so request a quote for your own release.
Does GlobeNewswire have a free option?
No. There is no free tier and no public entry price; distribution is sold through quotes.
Is GlobeNewswire cheaper than PR Newswire?
Published estimates suggest yes for comparable releases, though the GlobeNewswire figure is an estimate band rather than a rate card. See our PR Newswire cost breakdown on the compare page.
What's a realistic budget for a small business?
For most small business announcements, a few hundred dollars is enough if you buy published-price distribution rather than a quote-gated wire. Our press release cost guide covers what each level buys.
